AMI Expeditionary Healthcare Mobile Vaccination Clinic (MVC) Project Manager, Kerri Devaney, coordinated with Mira Sadeghi, the COVID-19 Outreach Coordinator at the Nationalities Service Center (NSC), to set up vaccination clinics in immigrant-dense neighborhoods specifically at the Faith Unity Islamic Center (FUIC) in Bensalem, PA.
Sadeghi shared that the AMI MVC team was “efficient and thoughtful throughout the process. Setting up the clinic space was made easy by their flexibility and collaboration with each other, myself, and the FUIC volunteer. Even more importantly, the AMI team was eager to make folks of all ethnic and religious backgrounds comfortable getting their vaccine, and they were especially mindful of operations within a place of worship. NSC clients and other Bucks County residents were very grateful for the opportunity to get vaccinated in a familiar setting in their community, which is imperative to reach those who may otherwise not get their vaccines. I am extremely grateful to Kerri and her mobile unit for their efforts in vaccinating the communities in need, and the day would not have been possible without them.”
