One of our most notable accomplishments has been the refinement of a task force combating COVID-19 in Assisted Living Facilities. AMI’s Task Force has 4 components. 

    1. Testing and Vaccination
    2. Surveillance
    3. Monitoring
    4. Professional Development of Staff

Our objective is to assess all long term care facilities in response to Covid-19 pandemic, including Assisted Living Facilities, rehabilitation homes, and residences that house individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.

AMI’s Assessment Team gathers important information on each facility and makes actionable recommendations to management. Based on those recommendations and together with the guidance of Public Health Departments and Emergency Medical Services Organizations, we mobilize the Stabilization and Treatment Team to the facility in question. Setting up Infection Control Procedures with CDC guidance is the single-most important step in stopping an outbreak. Proper PPE training as well as the implementation of strict IPC protocols is mandatory.

Depending on the needs of the facility, AMI is prepared to supplement staffing needs or if needed take over the entire nursing and medical care of residents. We have nurses, doctors and other healthcare providers that specialize in geriatrics, psychiatry and in the care of those with physical and mental disabilities. To date, we have assessed over 330 nursing facilities around San Mateo County and have provided supplemental and complete care to over 60 facilities in California.

Vaccinations

The AMI Vaccination program is adaptable, flexible, scalable and can be quickly implemented across large geographic areas. Surgical Services

AMI has the capability to provide a range of surgical services in mobile facilities or using existing infrastructure. Surgical specialty services are available but the focus is Damage Control Surgery (DCS) and Damage Control Resuscitation (DCR).
