Reston, VA – Starting in January 2021, AMI began providing in-flight paramedic support to the Department of Justice, U.S. Marshals Service, Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System (JPATS) – Las Vegas operational site. JPATS transports prisoners in support of the Federal judicial process for the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and the U.S. Marshals Service. JPATS air transport operations provide greater security and are more economical than commercial airlines. Air transportation is conducted utilizing aircraft owned and leased by JPATS and manned with specially trained aviation security enforcement officers, experienced aviation crews, and medical personnel.
AMI is a leading provider of Aeromedical Evacuation (AME) services to clients operating in challenging locations around the world. “We provide dedicated, on-call air ambulance aircraft in ICU configurations for short and long-haul aeromedical evacuation (AME.) Our growing air ambulance fleet includes turboprop and jet aircraft that operate under numerous regulatory protocols including FAA, EASA, and South African. We only operate ICU-configured air ambulances. This means faster response times,” Dr. Andrew Walker, AMI Chairman, CEO and Founder proudly notes.
