AMI Expeditionary Healthcare was on the COVID-19 pandemic frontlines of urgent care, on the frontlines of testing and now, on the frontlines of mass vaccinations. AMI’s COVID-19 Medical Task Force is resilient and adapts quickly, giving more meaning to our motto “we’re already there.” San Mateo, CA has asked AMI to help with the first mass vaccinations in the county. The AMI team has assisted with vaccinations to 141 residents and 10 staff in an assisted living facility. This week, we anticipate vaccinating 300-500 people each day. The San Mateo AMI team has also opened additional Intensive Care Units (ICU) and Transitional Care Units (TCU beds) in Sequoia Hospital, all fully staffed with AMI nurses, RT and doctors.
