ICU Nurse

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional health services including provision of Critical Care Nursing Services which adhere to the facilities’ policies and procedures.
  • Projected 8 hour shifts, 5 days a week, primarily but not exclusively for Critical Care Nursing Services. Ensure operational readiness of Critical Care Nursing Services, equipment, instruments and personal equipment.
  • Assist with sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments/equipment and stores.
  • Orient other nurses with the layout of Critical Care department and provide guidance on the duties activated in an emergency.
  • Assist with orientation for incoming personnel.
  • Work in accordance with posted rostering and maintain approved training standards as required.
  • Train and work in a designated role within the facility’s trauma system, which is based on Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
  • Ensure highest standards of clinical governance in the provision of Critical Care Nursing Services.
  • Conduct a check of the controlled drugs.
  • Attend or present training and briefing sessions when and as directed.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Critical/Intensive Care Nurse.
  • Experience with ventilators is a must.
  • Diploma of Nursing, or equivalent.
  • Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with home state.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Critical/Intensive Care Nursing.
  • Demonstrate sufficient recent clinical experience in the last 12 months commensurate with the role.
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited through the AHA or equivalent A valid home state license must always be maintained.
  • Full, detailed and most updated resume/CV.
  • Valid ID.
  • Must be able to speak and understand English Language.

Registered Nurse

Job Responsibilities

  • Handle all service relate patient questions and kept accurate records and maintain guest confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist doctors in delivery of medical procedures and able to provide basic life support in case of emergencies.
  • Schedule patient admissions and discharges.
  • Assess patient status and notify physicians of clinical changes.
  • Interact with departments regarding patient care.
  • Educate patients/families on health care needs, conditions, options, etc.
  • Maintain patient’s charts and confidential files.
  • Monitor intensive care, emergency, and inpatient services.
  • Accurate reporting and recording of Lab values with follow-up medical treatment.
  • Perform primary nursing care; communicate directly with doctors and others health care professionals.
  • Participate in extensive post-op care with multiple problems.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Diploma of Nursing, or equivalent.
  • Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse within home state.
  • A valid home state license must be maintained at all times.
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited through the AHA or equivalent Full, detailed and most updated resume/CV.

CNA

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provides for patient’s personal hygiene and daily living. This may include providing and clearing bedpans and urinals, providing baths, backrubs, shampoos and shaves, and assisting patients with showers. Assists with meals and feeds patients. Ambulates, turns and positions patients. Provides fresh water and nourishment between meals.
  • Administers enemas, douches, nonsterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths, and applies restraints.
  • Performs I&Os; checks vital signs and weight; performs sugar and acetone urine testing, specimen collection, and post-mortem care.
  • Works effectively as a team member in the delivery of care and assists in the orientation of new employees. Maintains good working relations with nursing unit staff and other hospital employees through appropriate communication.
  • Instills confidence in patients by maintaining a neat appearance and performing duties in a competent and caring manner. Reports observations of patients to the nurse caring for the patient to ensure professional assessment.
  • With specialized training and written approval, may perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned area.

Required Skills/Abilities

Education and Experience

  • High school graduate preferred.
  • Successful completion of nursing assistant course or the equivalent.
  • Previous hospital experience with acceptable references preferred.
  • Must pass a pre-employment test for nursing assistant.

LPN

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Administers medications or starts intravenous fluids, noting times and amounts on patients charts.
  • Observes patients, charting and reporting changes in conditions such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and takes necessary actions.
  • Answers patients calls and determines how to assist them.
  • Measures and records patients vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
  • Provides basic patient care or treatments such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, or performing catheterizations.
  • Works as part of a health care team to assess patient needs, plans and modifies care, and implements interventions.
  • Evaluates nursing intervention outcomes, conferring with other health care team members.
  • Assembles and uses equipment such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, or oxygen suppliers.
  • Records food and fluid intake and output.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • General knowledge of nursing and health care terminology.
  • Excellent patient care skills.

Education and Experience

  • Postsecondary certificate from vocational school or Associates degree in nursing required.
  • Current state licensure required
